A Gatsby Styled Shoot

Gatsby styled shoot 12-2018 (133 of 184).jpg

Every year about two to three times a year we collaborate with other wedding vendors to create a fun unique styled shoot. Styled shoots allow us creatives to step out of the box to use our creative side to full potential. This shoot we went for something sleek, like an old Hollywood theme. With putting this shoot together we kept our colors and theme on our mind. Once picking the beautiful long sleeve dress from White Traditions Bridal in Saint Charles the theme was screaming more of a Gatsby vibe. Katie and Hillary the florist and even coordinator used white feathers for accents with the theme which made perfect sense for the Gatsby theme to be the final end to our product. This shoot was something that was dear to my heart I love the vintage sleek style. The location was held at Sunflower Hill Farm a brand new venue located in Defiance, Missouri. The venue is gorgeous with a sleek modern barn to a beautiful open floor home that over looks the bluffs in Defiance. We are thanking all the vendor team from the bottom of our hearts to make this beautiful styled shoot come to life.

Lexie + Ryan

Lexie + Ryan (492 of 947).jpg

October 19th 2018 Lexie + Ryan tied the knot at the beautiful Stone House Of Saint Charles. Met Lexie and her sister a few years back so when Lexie got engaged it was an honor to capture her engagement and wedding day. Their wedding day felt like a fairytale. The girls and guys all got ready at the Stone House. The guys got ready in the grooms quarter which had a pool table and enough room to have everyone hang out. Lexie and her girls got ready in the house itself. This beautiful updated historic home. Lexie’s sister did her hair and make up which made a perfect touch for her wedding day. After the girls and guys got ready the ceremony was next. The ceremony was held outside in front of the Stone House. The weather was perfect. Lexie and Ryan were surrounded by friends and family. Not a dry eye was in sight. The wedding party was a blast we cheered where Lexie’s dad photo bombed and jumped in. Needless to say they were a fun bunch! Lexie and Ryan swung on this giant swing and were laughing so much their love shows in every image. Following the pictures was the reception. The reception was held in this huge elegant barn that is new to Stone House. The person that announced each couple into the reception welcomed the Blues Hockey team player onto the ice as a career, that was pretty cool to hear! Lexie and Ryan danced the night away with friends and family. Cheers to Lexie and Ryan!

Lindsay + Jake

September 21st Jake and Lindsay tied the know at a gorgeous winery located in Defiance, Missouri- Chandler Hill. This winery is not only of my favorite local wineries but the views are breathtaking. Jake and Lindsay had a first look in the vineyards it felt like something from a movie it was so beautiful. The ceremony and reception were all located at Chandler Hill. The ceremony was outside on the deck that over looked the vineyard. After the ceremony we captured the family portraits which led into the reception. Having enough time for the first look beforehand we were able to capture all the wedding party and images beforehand which was perfect for the sunset. Jake and Lindsay were having a blast from dance parties with their wedding party in the vineyard to driving a 4x4 for pictures. The reception was gorgeous. The rustic touch of high ceilings and wood work all throughout the inside of the venue. Fresh florals were on each table. The dance floor were Jake and Lindsay shared their first dance was outside under string lights which made it so acquaint for a fall wedding. Ending the night we all went outside for a sparkler exit. Wishing Jake and Lindsay many happy wishes! Congrats to Jake and Lindsay !!

Brendan + Madison

Love is in the spring air over here! Madison and Brendan tied the knot of April 27, 2018. This wedding was the first warm spring weather wedding to kick off the spring and summer wedding season ! I was super excited for this wedding because the forecast was suppose to rain but ended up taking a huge change and the temperature reached a high 70's and was super sunny. I think we all were stoked for the warm weather finally!

The day started off at Brendan's parents home in Fenton, Missouri. Madison and her girls got ready there while Brendan was back at his home with the guys. The hair and make up team were all in the basement of Brendan's parents home prepping the bridal party. I arrived that morning to start capturing the getting ready images. This bridal party was having a blast. With the mimosa's and breakfast bar area that morning was super fun and relaxed ! The girls all wore silk floral robes that Madison gave them. They all sipped on mimosas and Diet Dr. Pepper while they all got ready. Rizzo was the cutest little pup at Brendan's parents. I had to take a picture of Rizzo of course because I love dogs! Madison gave me the cutest thank you gift as well, a few gift cards, bracelet and the cutest cup that had my name and "Oh snap" on it! Thank you again Madison! So thoughtful! After the girls got ready the boys arrived and stayed upstairs while Madison stayed in the basement. Once Brenden arrived so did their pup Lexi. Lexi came running down the steps to see her momma as soon as she got there. We snapped a few pictures of Madison and her pup! I have met Lexi before and she is so sweet and super cute! Soon after it was time for the bride to get into her dress! Madison had the help of getting into her dress and buttoning from her close aunts. After a few pictures Brendan's mother finished the buttoning of Madison's dress. After images with the bridesmaids, etc it was time for the first look. We headed upstairs which was beyond beautiful ! There were two huge wood doors that had glass to see the outside so of course we had Brendan face the other way. There when Madison was walking outside to see her groom for the first time I had to capture the detail and THAT DRESS! Madison's dress was so beautiful the lace with the cut out on the back and the buttons on the back, I loved every detail! Once the front door opened and Madison tapped on Brendans shoulder the two linked eyes for the first time ! Brendan was grinning and was wowed by his beautiful bride! After the first look it was time to head down to Forest Park for pictures!

We arrived at Forest Park and started at The Muny. There the wedding party shared some beers and shared memories. We started with Madison and Brendan than let the wedding party join in on the fun. About a half hour after we headed to the Grand Basin in Forest Park for the rest of the wedding party and pictures of the bride and groom. The boys wore their glasses in the bright sun while the girls sipped on their drinks. After the pictures at the Grand Basin it was time to head back to the Fenton area for the ceremony and reception at Fox Run.

Unfortunately there was a bad accident on one of the main roads we had to drive on to get to the ceremony. We were instructed to take a detour. With the detour there was a ton of traffic and back country roads, etc. Madison and Brendan being the bride and groom made the decision to push back the wedding due to the bad traffic. This also allowed wedding guests to arrive at a timely manne. Pushing back the ceremony worked out perfectly since there was a ton of sunlight still and the weather was PERFECT! Madison and Brendan read their vows to one another than shared their first kiss. After the family pictures it was time to get the party started inside The Carriage House at Fox Run. The reception had a photo booth, a wood pallet that each guest signed, an open bar and a huge dance floor! The wedding party and guests danced the night away to a good mixture of classic music to Bruno Mars. That Sunday Madison and Brendan left for Mexico for their honeymoon! Happy almost two weeks of marriage! I am wishing them a lifelong marriage filled with happiness and love! Congrats to Madison and Brendan!!
